Theme Tracker

I developed Theme Tracker, a web app that lets students track specific words and phrases across any book in the public domain, returning every paragraph that has one of the words they choose. This allows for a better understanding of recurring themes and symbols in the text, and can help when writing analytical essays that require text evidence.

Conceptualized, designed, and developed Theme Tracker.
Utilized Python, Flask, HTML, and JavaScript to create a user-friendly interface and efficient back-end functionalities.
Developed a web scraper to dynamically access and analyze books from public domain databases, eliminating the need for manual downloads.
Hosted the website on a free server using PythonAnywhere, managing all aspects of deployment and maintenance.
Incorporated user feedback to continuously improve website features, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.

I developed StrideScan, a program that gives feedback to sprinting form based on video input, improving speed and possibly preventing injury.

Fine-tuned a pretrained YOLOv8 keypoint detection model with images I took and annotated to optimize it for sprinting.
Utilized Python to analyze the results of the keypoint detection model.
Researched optimal sprinting form to find which metrics were most important and measurable.
Created the website for the program.

I developed GradeCalculated, a website that allows students to calclulate their GPA and Final Grades, as well as generate top level vocabulary words to stimulate essay writing and help build vocabulary.

Designed and developed a comprehensive web platform serving high school students.
Utilized HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create a userfriendly interface and efficient back-end.
Created a Python script to preprocess lists of vocabulary words, transforming them into the uniform format used needed to put them in a JSON file.
Created an extensive database of high-level essay words and phrases to inspire and enhance student writing, using a web scraper to find the words, and a definitions API to get the definitions and other info.
Implemented algorithms for accurate GPA and final grade calculation based on various grading scales.
Served over 40 unique students.
